MECHANICAL ENGINEER

You will review and evaluate the technical adequacy of logistics support, maintenance, and modification programs accomplished by HIINC (Huntington Ingalls Industries). You will conduct surveillance of Contractor engineering practices (including subcontractors) to the extent necessary to demonstrate that the Contractor is meeting contract and specification requirements. You will review scientific data and evidence presented by HIINC and subcontractors in order to establish suitability of materials/methods/design. You will evaluate new designs and systems and determine their acceptability and/or compliance with the intent of the specifications. You will exercise creativity and experienced judgment in extending traditional techniques or developing new ones in order to evaluate and solve complex engineering problems.
