About the role
Develops, establishes and maintains partnerships with state, federal and other external groups. Promotes alliances within the State to strengthen conservation partnerships. Fosters common conservation goals and objectives focused on negotiating strategic conservation investment opportunities for leveraged investment by partners. Responsible for working closely with the state conservation communication staff in planning and implementing soil, water and natural resource conservation communications and Marketing programs for NRCS. Develops and implements a communication network among the various conservation partners, agriculture organizations, state natural resource agencies and other federal conservation agencies. Provide timely and relevant data on key conservation issues and facilitate partnership understanding of NRCS's initiatives. Provides guidance to successfully address controversial, complex and time sensitive issues through negotiation and effective communication with partners.
