About the role
You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist and be responsible for providing a full range of staffing, position classification, and technical support to customers, field representatives, employees, management officials or the public when needed. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Performs internal placement actions for serviced organizations by conducting special placement activities and providing advisory assistance to ensure proper employee placement and compliance with internal staffing requirements. Reviews draft regulations and personnel standards affecting serviced organizations to assess operational and workforce impact and provide informed input that supports effective implementation.
