Mechanical Engineer

This position is located in the Facilities Management Division, National Gallery Of Art (NGA), Washington, DC, a organization providing a board range of facilities engineering and support services. Duties for this position include: Serving as a Mechanical Engineer of the AFM Engineering Department of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. The Engineering Department is responsible for providing facilities maintenance engineering and management services as well as developing and managing long and short-range facilities maintenance programs in support of the Gallery's mission. Managing, coordinating and developing design, plans, and specifications for steam systems, plumbing systems, chilled water systems, asbestos removal, controls (including Direct Digital Control (DOC) applications), energy management systems and system balancing Preparing the scope of work for architect-engineer (A&E) contracts and reviewing the contractor's designs.
