About the role
The duties may include, but are not limited to: Conducts complex analysis of existing and proposed legislation impacting hemp production and interprets requirements into policy and procedure documents. Serves as a technical expert on a broad spectrum of topics related to hemp production requirements and develops, reviews, and implements new and/or revised policies specific to the hemp program. Manages multiple, complex policy projects specific to hemp production and identifies policy and resource challenges. Reviews and approves State and Tribal hemp production plans and collaborates and shares pertinent information with the Attorney General, State and Tribal governments, and law enforcement. Enforces licensing, record keeping, sampling, testing, and production requirements compliance for hemp. Independently revises draft documents and synthesizes other background information as needed to move projects to the final version for clearance and publication.
