About the role
You will lead a team of painters, ensure tasks are communicated, deadlines met, and quality supported. You will act as the main contact with production supervisors and provide updates on status and challenges. You will ensure aircraft and components are prepared and painted per standards, inspect cleanliness, verify specialty coatings, and measure thickness with precision tools. You will provide on-the-job training, demonstrate coating techniques, safety protocols, and compliance with directives. You will monitor safety standards, ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials according to instructions and laws. You will collaborate with engineers on new coating systems, mix coatings to viscosity, and cure them using bake ovens. You will work with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and implement corrective action.
