About the role
You will serve as an Electrical Engineer and be responsible for serving a senior member of the branch and will be required to manage projects and lead teams. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, or operation of engineering facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, or materials. The position's work is concerned with systems, plants, equipment, and materials for the generation, transmission, conversion, distribution, control, measurement, or utilization of electrical energy on board Coast Guard ships and boats. Installs equipment that is located in secure facilities/spaces, as well as the handling and installation of secure equipment. Designs new or modifies existing electrical systems on board Coast Guard vessels. Mandatory training is required which must be successfull
