About the role
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and a centralized authority for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) related to direction and guidance for planning, procurement, tracking, material and inventory management, turnover and disposal. You will exercise knowledge of the overall DOD, DON and PHNSY C500/DLA Logistics Systems support element functionality to include established methodologies and constructs for applicable supply, maintenance and transportation systems. You will investigate the availability of material from primary supply sources. You will provide logistical support and mitigates risk by utilizing functional expertise to resolve issues when researching material availability and recommending material substitutes for critical, hard-to-get material. You will coordinate and serve as Government agent for turnover of material to contractors for all work to include TYCOM and modernization.
