About the role
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the appointed Installation Emergency Manager planning, directing, controlling, and administering the installation's Emergency Management (EM) programs. Also serves as a first level supervisor planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Readiness and Emergency Management (R&EM) Flight, Civil Engineering Squadron. DUTY #1: As the R&EM Element Chief, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the flight, ensuring that R&EM responsibilities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. DUTY#2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
