You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and be responsible for managing logistical functions and is responsible for routine property accountability functions at the location. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serving as the Logistics Officer including oversight and management of all logistics services for which the command is responsible: shipping and receiving, management of government property, management of government owned and leased vehicles, mail services, and port services for Cutters (home ported and visiting). Providing guidance to staff personnel on the full range of logistics services. Serving as a source of corporate knowledge and continuity among rotating military members. Providing technical direction to military and civilian personnel assigned to the division and coordination of various activities for which they are responsible.
