About the role

The Industrial Processing and Power Division (IPPD) protects human health and the environment through regulatory programs and initiatives that reduce emissions and health impacts from air pollutants emitted by stationary sources such as power plants, industrial boilers, steel mills, mining operations, foundries, metals fabrication, refining and chemicals facilities, and bulk liquid storage. Collaborating with other OCAP divisions, the broader Agency, and external stakeholders and governments, IPPD leads the development of emissions control strategies that rely on a combination of market-driven technology and practices, alternative compliance options, and incentives to achieve public health and environmental goals.
