About the role

Responsible for the orderly relocation and realignment of both general and special library collections, ensuring strict adherence to shelving accuracy and shelfload specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of growth potential for serials and monographs, as well as the unique requirements for various collection classes. Works with a high degree of independence in determining sequences of loading and unloading booktrucks and other conveyances containing Library collections, equipment and supplies. Participates in developing space utilization plans and implementing the movement of materials from one area to another. which may involve intra- or interbuilding transport. Shifts the various collections to relieve congestion, including materials in non-book formats, such as moving image and recorded sound.
