About the role
You will develop detailed action plans for all inspection functions of the work group, including pre-use, in-process, final product, and test component acceptance. You will review work orders and plans, create schedules, assign inspectors, develop inspection methods, and check inspectors' assignments. You will plan work assignments on a short- and long-range workload. You will manage leave requests and schedules to make sure they fit the needs of the work schedule. You will assign tasks to inspectors who work in different trades, such as electrical, marine machinery, pipefitting, and shipfitting. You will advise and guide subordinates to keep them informed of policy, procedure, and shipyard directives.
