About the role
You will develop and review all cost engineering deliverables to program adequate project budgets for all facility project types, both CONUS and OCONUS, based on preliminary studies, programming and planning documents, and conceptual designs. You will develop comparative cost, constructability, and availability evaluations for alternative design scenarios. You will provide advice and assistance to NAVFAC and other Navy DOD program and project budget managers on costs of facility design and construction in order to maintain cost control while determining the project's plan of action and milestones. You will manage cost risk and perform cost schedule risk evaluations at the program and project level. You will mentor other cost engineers in the techniques of parametric estimating and use of software products used to develop predicative costs, such as Parametric Cost Engineering System Software (PACES) and other software and systems.
