Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist

The incumbent serves as a Branch Manager with overall authority and responsibility for the technical and administrative direction of the branch. In this capacity, he/she oversees the compliance with Personnel Security program rules and regulations; advises and consults with FAA/ASH managers on personnel security matters; administers the position sensitivity risk designation program; and may support the credentialing program to include enrollment; identify proofing, electronic fingerprinting, and PIV card issuance. Directs the work of subordinate employees by setting priorities, assigning tasks, monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching and developing employee capabilities, approving leave, and taking or recommending corrective/disciplinary action as appropriate. Incumbent applies an advanced knowledge of the technical personnel security aspects of the work directed and an advanced understanding of the objectives of the major subdivision.
