As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties: If selected at the GS-12 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity. Validating data in automated accounting systems, pinpointing key deficiencies, and recommending solutions to improve data integrity and efficiency. Independently analyzing complex financial data, identifying anomalies, and recommending corrective actions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. Implementing process improvements that streamline financial reporting, boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data quality. Contributing to developing, implementing, and evaluating financial policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Preparing complex financial statement note disclosures and variance analyses, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance, and presenting findings to senior management. Providing comprehensive audit support by fulfilling
