About the role

Responsible for developing, revising and conducting course instruction on numerous military behavioral health subject-matter areas comparable to undergraduate and graduate course work. Conducts course instruction on evidence-based public health approaches to suicide prevention, mental health treatment, sexual assault, interpersonal violence, Servicemember and family support services and leadership. Plans, adapts, and develops educational materials, instructional formats, and conducts teaching activities according to DA and DOD policies and practices for DBHS and other affiliated Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) courses. Coordinates curriculum development and participates in faculty committees aimed at addressing gaps in military behavioral health training. Prepares conference request documents and after-action reports for higher headquarters and assists in the preparation and coordination of travel requirements needed for course delivery.
