About the role
You will supervise Federal Wage Systems (FWS) Inspection programs with direct responsibility for supervising nonsupervisory Inspectors of mechanical, piping and structural systems on nuclear reactor plant systems to accomplish inspection functions. You will lead, mentor and train subordinate inspectors in a positive and professional manner. You will explain technical subjects and be familiar with mechanical systems associated with naval nuclear reactor plants. You will head the inspection unit. You will be responsible for overall production, safety and efficiency of the subordinate members of the working unit. You will coordinate priorities and deadlines with numerous project and production personnel to maximize efficient use to meet the Shipyard's needs. You will identify and resolve problems as they arise and propose solutions to unusual and complex problems to the Nuclear Inspection Division Management.
