About the role
You will be the principal authority for the planning phase of all repair, alteration, and modernization work to the area Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) on assigned ship(s) during availabilities and a core member of the ships maintenance team. You will assure planning estimates are established for timely receipt of funds. You will resolve problems affecting the end cost, quality, schedule, and performance of contracts. You will establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with Systems Commands, Type Commanders, Warfare Centers, and other customer representatives. You will evaluate and analyze applicable policies and procedures and recommend changes to improve work processes utilizing manpower and material resources more effectively geared towards the overall project accomplishment.
