About the role

The major duties of the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Division Chief) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Exercises full supervisory responsibilities and authority over Division or Branch personnel. Develops and implements Division or Branch policies, practices, and procedures. Plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees studies and surveys to evaluate Division or Branch programs and ensure efficiency and economy of operations. Advise the Assistant Director and/or Deputy Assistant Director(s) on significant issues or matters pertaining to Division programs and projects, e.g., the impact of new technology, new initiatives, etc. Direct the coordination of projects and programs with management officials in other divisions within the Directorate, with management officials in other directorates at Bureau Headquarters, and with officials from the Department of Justice or other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies.
