About the role
The Marine Surveyor: Witnesses and verifies all technical tests and inspections required under U.S. Government contracts and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), including demonstrations validating repairs and scheduled maintenance and readiness procedures for government reserve vessels. Evaluates and synthesizes input from Ship Managers and General Agents regarding repair cost estimates, vessel repair specifications, and activation, operations, and lay-up cost projections. Defines and oversees work order scope and execution; assesses quality of services and deliverables; ensures technical compliance with contract requirements; and reviews and accepts contract deliverables. The ideal candidate is a mid-level individual with experience in the management of ship operations, repair, conversion, and industrial projects for assigned ships or projects.
