SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

You will survey facilities, monitoring safe work methods used in Trident II Missile component processing, storage, assembly, renovation, modifications, and transportation. You will perform duties as Safety Loading Officer (SLO) during all explosive and strategic weapons (TRIDENT II) and torpedo on-load and off-load operations at the Explosive Handling Wharf. You will be responsible for annual assessment, atmospheric testing, preparation of permits, mitigating hazards, monitoring, and supervising confined spaces at Strategic Weapons Facility, Pacific (SWFPAC). You will conduct risk assessments to recommend corrective action and hazard control measures for deficiencies to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled safety and occupational health inspections, assessments, evaluations, and accident/incident investigations.
