Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Develop, interpret, and implement security-education-related training programs and materials. Ensure compliance with NASA's Information and Industrial Security Programs; collaborate and coordinate internally and externally to identify best practices in information/Industrial security. Manage security programs to protect classified and sensitive information; promote efficiency in information creation, classification, safeguarding, handling, and use. Monitor execution of security plans and recommends action necessary to recognize excellence and/or to resolve problems. Review initial and periodic compliance and performance survey reports, advises acceptance, modification, or rejection of specific recommendations to manager and other program officials; and develops alternatives for required corrective actions.
