ALCOHOL ABUSE PREVENTION SPECIALIST

You will conduct ongoing needs assessments of local military and civilian communities on alcohol situations, prevention, and needs. You will develop, coordinate, and submit recommendations to include plans and policies that reflect the relationships of chemical dependency. You will develop and present presentations and communicate well orally at command/senior officer level briefings, media representatives, and at professional training workshops. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to coordinate prevention efforts. You will utilize evidence-based curriculums to provide prevention education on illegal drug use and alcohol abuse to military and families, support groups, and youth groups. You will participate in the early intervention program to deliver didactic portions of outpatient treatment tracking for substance abuse counseling centers, aftercare and pretreatment groups to address or reduce alcohol misuse.
