About the role
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The HUD/VASH Program Coordinator develops, coordinates, and maintains theses linkages as appropriate and needed for the homeless Veteran population. The HUD/VASH Program Coordinator also has the primary oversight of case management services to ensure care is coordinated with the VA Medical Center, community health/mental health providers and/or any other applicable agencies to meet the needs of the Veterans utilizing the HUD/VASH Program either directly or via assignment. Duties include but are not limited to: - The GS-12 social worker is capable of practicing independently at the advanced level and has specialized knowledge of practice related to a particular diagnosis or special Veteran populations with highly complex health or mental health problems requiring expert level of psychosocial interventions. - Serves as the medical center's primary point of contact for the National HUD/VASH Program, Office of Mental Health Services, and VACO.
