About the role
As a Supervisory Geographer/Cartographer within the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC), some of your specific duties will include: Supervises and directs a workforce of Unit Supervisors and geospatial professionals. Provides instructions to Unit Supervisors to manage projects and personnel within the Section including employee counseling, effective performance management, awards, job related training, and coordination. Recommends changes in the structure of the Section for greater operational efficiency, assigning employees to positions within the Section, and shifting personnel in response to changing workloads and priorities. Provides management over the production and maintenance of hydrography data, including project planning, project monitoring, and execution. Performs planning, budgeting, project management, and oversight for numerous production-related projects.
