Mechanical Engineer

Provides consulting engineer services to Army, Air Force, SWPA, VA and DECA senior managers. Participates on source selection boards. Participates on local and regional policy boards. Applies advanced concepts, principles, and practices of mechanical engineering to develop technical criteria and modify existing guide specifications, or develop new specifications as required. Performs special studies of mechanical materials, devices and methods. Applies a wealth of advanced concepts, principles, and practices of mechanical engineering to serve as the mechanical design expert in full range of mechanical systems for MILCON and CW projects. Designs, and reviews mechanical design features of proposed works. Provides authoritative advice on designs as well as during the construction phase of projects. Provides second level review of designs prepared by other Corps Districts for Independent Technical Review. Serves as the technical facilitator in mechanical design team assigned to the Design
