About the role
Develop program policy, interpreting program requirements, methods, and procedures; monitoring reviewing, evaluating, and assessing the integrity and quality of program operations. Develop and review legislation, regulations instructions and management reports, keeping management informed of program and legislative development. Serve as a technical authority for Medicaid and CHIP program policy development and implementation and provide technical direction and leadership to staff. Develop, interpret, and apply specific laws, regulations, and policies that directly improve state fiscal accountability and improve the efficiency of existing oversight activities of the Medicaid program and the related interactions with States. Analyze Medicaid and CHIP eligibility and enrollment data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including community engagement provisions.
