Review and evaluate proposed models of innovation that address medical and health care quality issues with an emphasis on the clinical IT impacts and considerations of such models. Advise leadership on the activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of design, development, and implementation of innovative specialty care focused models testing new payment and health care services delivery approaches. Speak with authority for PCMG and CMMI before national health care organizations, special interest groups, legislative bodies, medical associations, and other similar organizations gain understanding of stakeholder interests. Ensure that medical associations are consulted on strategic data transparency initiatives, given the sensitive nature of sharing cost and quality performance data on individual clinicians and they need for buy-in to occur early in the design process.
