Health Technician (Laboratory)

Receive sample packages sent by remote laboratories. Unpack samples, reviews documentation for completeness and technical accuracy, and processes samples as described above. Pack samples for pickup by courier or for mailing to areference laboratory. Exercises care in handling, processing and shipping samples. Enter all shipped samples into the shipped sample database, performs system backups, and generates reports as requested by supervisor or laboratory manager. Receive requests for supplies from others in the laboratory. Maintains all documentation as required by Department of Health Agency (DHA) and local regulations. Submits and coordinates orders with Logistics. Process a wide variety of laboratory specimens for in-house analysis and/or shipment to civilian or military reference laboratories.
