Safety and Occupational Health Specialist

Plans, establishes, implements, administers, and evaluates a safety program covering support facilities on an Installation. Assures compliance with various national safety standards. Conducts safety and occupational health inspections of the health center and medical support facilities. Interprets safety and occupational health standards as they relate to the health care facilities for military and civilian personnel. Trains staff in safety and occupational health requirements and safe work practices. Identifies and either eliminates or minimizes safety hazards in the health center and support facilities.
