About the role
Positions can be filled in the following NOAA OAR offices: Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL) Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) As a Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Work with higher level analysts in the development of budget operating plans and labor projections. Aid in reviews, approves, disapproves, and recommends the amount and timing of allotments of funds to programs. Analyze and evaluate program's proposed plans and makes recommendations based on research. Utilize automated systems to input, review and analyze cost data for budget planning and execution. Regularly communicate budgetary issues with management, staff, and external organizations. Provide recommendations for priorities for use of financial resources.
