ACCOUNTANT

Responsible for reviewing and analyzing accounts and evaluating account balances, trends, and conditions to provide guidance to operating officials addressing program funding requirements. Provides accounting data, systems query support and advises program managers on budgetary and program data. Establishes and/or oversees the establishment of chart of accounts for the purposes of maintaining cost accounts for program managers and advises program managers in charge of those accounts. Interprets data base input and output listings and resolves accounting problems with program managers, program analysts and system accountants. Distributes Revolving Fund cost to Corps sites and coordinates the establishment of cross charge purchase requests.
