About the role
Perform difficult and complex ultrasound examinations. Receive and review requests from physicians and other healthcare providers for ultrasound examinations of patients. Select, set up, adjust, and operate ultrasound equipment. Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure ultrasound examinations such as fine needle aspiration and/or biopsy. Perform operator level maintenance and care of equipment and accessories. Provide training to staff, residents, civilian, and military personnel in ultrasound principles, procedures, capabilities, techniques, and equipment.
