About the role
You will provide advice/guidance and technical direction to engineers and technicians through grade level GS-12. You will ensure timely, technically accurate, execution of complex design projects, document or drawing development or planning projects. You will perform engineering studies to determine system requirements, modifications, repairs or specifications. You will check work in progress of assigned projects, and provide timely reporting of status, improvement of actions, and resource requirements. You will make engineering studies of assigned work to determine overall requirements such as component size and capability, arrangement, special material, and work involvement of other codes. You will make investigations aboard ship to obtain information for development of or determine adaptability of working plans.
