About the role
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Specialist in the Ballistic Missile Defense division of USNORTHCOM J3. As an IAMD Specialist, employee will assist in the planning and execution of the integrated air, cruise and theater range ballistic missile defense of the USNORTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The IAMD Branch is the principle advisor to the USNORTHCOM Director of Operations on current capabilities and overlapping operations to defend the Homeland and US national interests within the AOR as it relates to Integrated Air and Missile Defense. Responsible for providing the necessary input from an operations perspective into the IAMD Capabilities Based Assessment (CBA). Interfaces with DoD, Joint Staff, unified commands, service staff'>, and components for development and resolution of integrated air and missile defense operational issues such as policy, doctrine, and concept of operations.
