About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Specialist in the Ballistic Missile Defense division of USNORTHCOM J3. Duty 1 - Plans, Develops, and Executes Integrated Air and Missile Defense capabilities across a wide spectrum of National and Defense Department level documents to include strategic planning guidance, Operational and Concept Plans (OPLAN & CONPLAN), Programming, Planning, and Budget Execution (PPBE), Joint Strategic Capabilities Planning, Unified Command Plan, and Integrated Priority Lists to ensure the Homeland is adequately defended against short-, medium-, and long-range ballistic missile threats. Duty 2 - Certifies and maintains qualification as a Missile Defense Officer (MOO) in the NORAD-USNORTHCOM Command Center (N2C2), Alternate Command Center (ACC), and USNORTHCOM's higher strategic contingency mission to lead the operation of the nation's Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMO) system.
