You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MARINE INSPECTOR and be responsible for providing technical expertise, administrative guidance, and supervisory leadership to military and civilians on issues related to foreign and domestic vessels, marine safety, inspection of facilities and containers, pollution prevention, security, manning laws, regulations, treaties, and international conventions. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Directs marine inspection program requirements for operating systems and vessel design requirements Supervises a subordinate staff of military and civilian marine inspectors Serves as primary inspection representative with the maritime industry responsible for commercial vessel safety
