About the role
In a developmental capacity, the incumbent of this position will be given increasingly complex assignments until the full performance level is reached. Duties at the full performance level include: Conducting complex negotiations to acquire real property rights, including fees, easements, and leases, to support civil works missions. Mentoring staff, providing expert guidance on real estate practices, and ensuring work complies with agency policies and regulations. Managing the application of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended, and representing the office at meetings with stakeholders. Developing detailed real estate planning reports, conducting field investigations, and evaluating property information and use cases. Researching courthouse records, determining government easement locations, and assisting legal staff with title curative work.
