BOILER PLANT OPERATOR Direct Hire Authority

Operate and maintain a 4,600 kw combustion turbine generator (CTG) with a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) including generation of electricity to supply the Base. Starts, operates, adjusts, and stops multiple fuel power boilers fueled by fossil fuel and natural gas or a combination of these fuels, steam driven turbines, pumps, auxiliary pollution control and other equipment in high pressure steam central boiler plant. Starts, operates, adjusts, and stops multiple fuel high tonnage chillers fueled by electricity, natural gas, and steam, or a combination of these fuels, cooling towers, turbines, pumps, auxiliary pollution control and other equipment to provide chilled water for cooling and process functions. Performs various operational repairs and preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, cogeneration equipment, auxiliary, pollution control equipment.
