About the role

Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, hot sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, other fry items, cold sandwiches, eggs, breakfast meats, hash browns, and other breakfast items. Prepares and cooks dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, paring, cutting, slicing, and dicing; weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; portions food for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment. Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food. Ensures that foods are stored at the correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth. Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources. Disassembles, cleans, and assembles component parts and accessories according to safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the eq
