Recreation Assistant

The purpose of this position is to provide customer service and to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Community Services Mall. Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of the day-to-day operation of Outdoor Recreation programs and the car wash. This includes equipment loan and rental, RV Storage lots, U-Store-Its, Base Park, POV Resale Lot, Swimming Pools, Archery Range, and Car Wash. Checks customer eligibility. Operates Point of Sale (POS) system whether cash register or RecTrac, collects fees when appropriate for Outdoor Recreation programs and completes appropriate documentation. Informs management of any irregularities. Processes facility, equipment and program reservations. Signs up customers for classes, lessons, trips and programs. Assists with Outdoor Recreation trips and programs. Demonstrates safety and proper use of equipment when checking it out to customers; provides instructions and safety guidance.
