Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Develop, interpret, and implement security education training programs and materials; support development, publication, execution, and enforcement of regulations, policies, and laws related to Information and Industrial Security. Manage security programs to protect classified national security and sensitive information; manage identification, safeguarding, classification, downgrading, and declassification activities to ensure proper handling and use of classified information. Ensure compliance with NASA Information and Industrial Security Programs and 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); coordinate internally/externally to identify information/industrial security best practices.
