About the role
Responsible for installation, maintenance, operation, monitoring, and evaluation of all dam safety instrumentation and equipment. Observe, inspect, collect, and record data readings from instrumentation used in assuring the stability of four Tri-Lakes Project Dams. Review requests and plans of proposed construction that might affect the dams and appurtenant structures and recommend approval and/or changes to the proposed work. Collaborate with and assist organizational units of such Project Management, Real Estate, and Engineering Division relative to the design of flood damage reduction projects to prevent operation and maintenance problems. Prepare and interpret plans and specifications for small construction and service contracts in support of a major flood control project. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to provide system control, oversight, repair history, analysis and quality of the data entered.
