Investigative Analyst

The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Gathers intelligence, conducts analysis, and performs operational activities within the Intel Analysis Unit. Collects raw data from various sources regarding the importation of prohibited products, movement of plants and animals domestically and internationally, and illegal activities of animal dealers. Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to IES colleagues on intelligence operations. Performs analysis of raw data and intelligence gathered to assist IES managers and IES investigations with meeting program goals and objectives. Produces and disseminates investigative reports.
