About the role
You will be an engineering specialist in the field of Naval Architecture and Drydocking Technology. You will be responsible for the administration of the Safety and Certification Program for Drydocking Facilities and Shipbuilding Ways for U.S. Navy Ships. You will be responsible for conducting maintenance program audits and other specialist instructions of drydocking facilities and shipbuilding ways. You will identify technical errors or omissions and ensure compliance with military stands and good engineering practices, and recommend corrective actions, or the requirement for additional data from the facilities. You will be responsible for the investigation of accidents and incidents that occur at certified facilities for the purpose of determining the cause and recommending actions to prevent recurrence such as procedural or basic design changes. You will serve as the NAVSEA representative and team leader for audits and inspections. You will be responsible for the review of Facility
