About the role
You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for all matters regarding industrial fire safety, as well as identification, evaluation, and mitigation of all associated risks. You will provide technical expertise on electrical, electronic, mechanical, and other engineering principles related to fire prevention, fire safety, and fire protection. You will ensure compliance with fire safety technical requirements of NAVSEA Technical Publication S0570-AC-CCM-010/8010, Industrial Ship Safety Manual for Fire Prevention and Response. You will promote and maintain environment of cooperation and teamwork by leading and guiding others in formulating and executing team plans. You will conduct accident investigations and inspections or reviews of shipboard conditions, plans, and equipment. You will perform special engineering analysis and studies in support of NAVSEA for the purpose of developing or evaluating improvements in design, procedures, material, practices, etc.
