About the role
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Supply Management: responsible for the inventory management, control and distribution of expendable inventory; ensures maximum effectiveness in the management of inventories; has oversight and accountability of the management plan for the commodity program; conducts effectiveness/efficiency reviews; oversees the computation of requirements for supplies; serves as the approving official for approving reconciled purchase card transactions; oversees the care and handling of specialized items; prepares/reviews submissions to obtain approval or funding; and acts as the central point of contact for the coordination of commodity support and the resolution of logistics problems; Returns, Recalls and Reutilization: manages federal and agency programs for the return and reutilization of medical supplies; approves emergent procurement decisions; participates in root cause analysis process; and serves as the utilization and disposal official
