About the role
As a Supervisory Financial Systems, you will: Oversee the development, maintenance, and daily operations of FHWA's Fiscal Management Information System (FMIS), ensuring the system is compliant with federal requirements. Assess key financial data and technology issues to determine which analytical products are required to address emerging technical and legislative developments, ensuring systems remain responsive to agency needs. Conduct recurring and special analyses and reports for use by top DOT/FHWA policy makers and Congress to assist in implementing Federal-aid Highway grant programs. Direct the work of subordinates by setting project goals, priorities, and work deadlines. Plan and make work assignments based on the difficultly of the task and the capability of employees while accounting for limited resources. Provide advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters supporting operation of information resource management processes, recommending improvements
