About the role
You will provide expert level guidance in the application of underwater acoustics testing, and test and measurement sciences. You will work with senior leadership to ensure appropriate specifications are developed and testing is performed in accordance with the current best practices to support acquisition program development, research and development, and production. You will develop and maintain an understanding of underwater acoustic testing technology and functional testing technology through close contact with research and development laboratories, manufactures, scientists, and academia. You will regularly mentor both engineers and technicians in support of underwater acoustics testing and measurement sciences. You will conduct regular technical training discussions and ensure technical work is performed to the latest industry standards and latest policy or performance specifications. You will proactively engage in the department’s investment program.
