About the role
You will control the activities of the branch by planning, setting work priorities, assignment of responsibilities, and by the establishment objectives against which the performance of the branch is measured. You will plan work to be accomplished by branch personnel and set priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will give advice, counsel or instruction to branch personnel on both technical and administrative matters. You will provide expert technical advice to personnel concerning intent and application of detail specification and military specification requirements for design, fabrication, preservation, and overhaul of surface ship and submarine structures. You will conduct surveillance of Contractor engineering practices (including subcontractors) to the extent necessary to demonstrate that the Contractor is meeting contract and specification requirements.
